Membership Requirements
To be a member of the BRBN, a company must, at a minimum, meet these requirements:
- Be based in the United Kingdom, including England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Channel Island;
- Be free from any legal action directly relating to the basis of its customer relations or fraud;
- Agree with British Reliable Business Network's Code Of Business Practice;
In addition to the above , the applicant must also agree to the following requirements:
- Supply company background information, including information about the management, parent company (if applicable), and other information the BRBN may need.
- Provide BRBN the full business address and telephone numbers at which they do business, (This may be verified by the BRBN in a visit to the company's business premises);
- Respond promptly to all consumer complaints and make good efforts to resolve all such complaints consistent with good business practices. And cooperate with the BRBN in attempting to eliminate the underlying cause(s) of serious complaints and/or patterns of complaints;
- Provide BRBN with written standard terms and conditions of business.
- If involved in selling consumer goods/services, provide BRBN with company's Returns and Refunds/Exchange policy.
- Not use the BRBN name, initials, logo(s), certificate, except as permitted in writing by the BRBN.
- Pay the annual dues required for your Reliability Membership.
If you are applying for Online seal for your web site the following details will also be required:
- Supply British Reliable Business Network with a link to your online Privacy Policy.
- Ensure our web site provides a postal address and contact numbers to your customers.
However, it is important for you to remember that a business's participation in BRBN does not guarantee you will be satisfied with its product or service. While BRBN participants have satisfactory complaint handling records with British Reliable Business Networks, this does not mean that they have never experienced complaints, nor is it a guarantee that they won't in the future.
British Reliable Business Networks do not endorse any company, product or service and participation in a British Reliable Business Network program is not a guarantee by the British Reliable Business Network of the company's performance. BRBN participants have agreed to meet our program standards, including resolving customer disputes through British Reliable Business Network dispute resolution processes, which have a proven consumer-friendly track record.
